One arrested in Gaibandha for attacking DMCH doctors

A youth was arrested from the Bus stand area in Gaibandha district town for his alleged involvement in the attack carried out on the doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Saturday. 

The arrested was identified as Sanjay Pal Joy, 25, son of Ranjit Das, a resident of Masterpara of the district town. 

Masud Rana, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, told BSS that a team of police conducted a raid in the Bus stand area on Monday and arrested Sanjay. 

On Saturday, doctors of the DMCH were assaulted and the emergency department was vandalized by some agitated people. 

On Sunday, a case was filed with the Shahbagh police station against a teacher three students from the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and 40-50 unidentified people over the attack and vandalism.
