CEC, 5 ECs announce resignation

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal and five other election commissioners of the Election Commission (EC) have announced their resignation. 

Kazi Habibul Awal made the announcement at a press conference at the EC Bhaban in Dhaka's Agargaon at around noon on Thursday. 

The members of the EC will call on the president after the press conference, they said.
