HC orders to exhume body of Harris Chowdhury for DNA test

The High Court (HC) has issued an order to exhume the body of Harris Chowdhury for DNA test to make sure his identity.

A HC division bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Muhammad Mahbub Ul Islam passed the order on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, the bench held hearing on a writ petition filed by Samira Tanzina Chowdhury, daughter of Harris Chowdhury who was political secretary to former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Barrister Mahdin Choudhury moved the plea before the court while deputy attorney general Redwan Ahmed Ranjib stood for the state.
