Emdad Ul Bari made new BTRC chairman

Major Gen (retired) Emdad Ul Bari has been appointed as the new chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

A gazette notification to the effect was issued on Tuesday by the Ministry of Public Administration.

The government has appointed Bari for a three-year term from the date of his joining. 

The notification added other terms and conditions of the appointment will be fixed through an approved contract.

On August 14, former BTRC chairman Mohiuddin Ahmed resigned amid widespread reshuffles and transfers.
