Posting of newly appointed 8 DCs cancelled, appointment of four others reshuffled

The government has cancelled the appointments of the eight newly appointed deputy commissioners (DCs).

It has also reshuffled posting of four others. 

Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Dr Md Mokhlesur Rahman made the disclosure at a press conference on Wednesday.

After reviewing the recent posting of 59 DCs, the committee cancelled appointment of eight, he told the journalists.

The districts are- Lakshmipur, Joypurhat, Kushtia, Rajshahi, Sirajganj, Shariatpur,  Dinajpur and Rajbari. 

The secretary said that the gazette notification about the cancellation of the posting of eight DCs has been issued on the day.

He added that the vacant positions will be replaced soon. 

Meanwhile, another gazette notification was issued on Wednesday, saying that DC of Tangail was transferred to Panchagarh while DC of Nilphamari to Tangail, DC of Natore to Lakshmipur and DC of Panchagar to Nifamari.
