Prof Mamun Ahmed made DU Pro-VC

Dr Mamun Ahmed, professor of Dhaka University's Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, has been appointed as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the university.

The tenure of his appointment will be four years from the date of his joining the office, according to an Education Ministry gazette notification.

Prof Mamun Ahmed completed his Bachelor and Masters degree from Dhaka University on Biochemistry and pursued his PhD from Nihon University School of Medicine on Molecular Virology. 

In the afternoon, Prof Mamun joined the office replacing Professor Dr Sitesh Chandra Bachar who was appointed to the post on January 25 this year.
