Three held while preparing for robbery in Ctg

Lohagara thana of Chattogram district police arrested three alleged dacoits while they were preparing for robbery in the Jungal Padua area under the upazila on Thursday night.  

Police also recovered an air gun, and two sharp knives from their possessions.

The arrestees were Mahamudul Karim, 20, who hailed from Cox's Bazar district, Yasin Arafat, 20, who hailed from Sandwip upazila and Khairul Islam, 22, who hailed from Patiya upazila of the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Lohagara police detained them from the Jungle Padua area while they were preparing for the robbery, said Arifur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara thana.

A case was filed with Lohagara Thana in this connection.
