Asaduzzaman Noor, Mahbub Ali sent to jail

A Dhaka court has sent to jail former cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor and former state minister for civil aviation and tourism M Mahbub Ali in a murder case.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain passed the order on Monday.

Earlier in the day, they were produced before the court, seeking a plea of sending the duo to jail.

Noor and Mahbub, who were arrested Sunday night from the capital's Bailey Road and Segunbagicha areas respectively.

They were made accused of the murder of hotel staff Siam Sardar in the capital's Mirpur area.

Siam's father Sohagh Sardar filed the case on September 4 against 114 including former home affairs minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
