Mozammel Haque Babu, Shyamal Dutta handed over to DMP

Dobaura police have handed four people - Ekattor TV Editor-in-Chief and CEO Mozammel Haque Babu, Dainik Bhorer Kagoj Editor Shyamal Dutta, Ekattor TV Senior Reporter Mahbubur Rahman and private car driver Salim - over to Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Monday afternoon.

The local people detained them in the border area located between South Maizpara and Porakandulia while heading to India by a private car at 6:00am on Monday, said OC Chan Miah.

Later, the locals handed them over to Dobaura police.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Mymensingh Azizul Islam said that currently there is a case against the detainees and necessary action will be taken against them in the respective cases.
