74 dead in August floods

A total of 74 people have died and 64 were injured in the floods affecting the country's eastern regions in August.

Moreover, a total of Tk 14,269,68,33,522 worth of damage was incurred in the floods. 9,42,821 people were affected by the flood, while 45,56,111 people were displaced. 

Farooq-e-Azam, the adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Interim Government, disclosed this information in the secretariat on Tuesday.
