Metrorail to run on Fridays from this week

The Metrorail authorities have decided to operate the popular train services on each Friday from September 20.

Khandkar Ehteshamul Kabir, company secretary of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) told the media that the Metrorail will be run on every Friday, the weekly holiday, from 3.30 pm to 9.40 pm from Uttara North to Motijheel stations.

The decision on operations of Metrorail on Fridays was taken considering the huge demand of commuters, he said.

Apart from this, the Metrorail service will continue on the remaining six days in a week as per working day schedule, Khandkar Ehteshamul Kabir added.
