Nurul Islam Sujon placed on 5-day remand in murder case

A Dhaka Court has remanded former railway minister Nurul Islam Sujon for five days in a murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saddam Hossain passed the order on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, the investigating officer of the case placed him before the court seeking remand prayer.

On September 17, Sujon was arrested by police from Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in city's Shyamoli area.

A murder case was lodged over the killing of Rafiqul Islam, during anti-discrimination movement in Dhaka's Jatrabari area on July 19.
