Prof Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah joins as IU VC

Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah joined as Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia.

He is the 14th VC of Islamic University (IU), said a gazette notification signed by education ministry's deputy secretary Shahinur Rahman.

Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah has been replaced Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam, who resigned from the post of IU VC on August 8.

Nakib was appointed upon approval by the President and Chancellor of the university under the Section 10 (1) of Islamic University Act-1980.

Earlier, he served as an Associate Professor of Law Department of Islamic University, Kushtia and later joined the Law Department of Dhaka University. 

Prof Nakib, a PhD holder in International Investment Law from Macquarie University, Australia, has earned numerous scholarships, including the International Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (IMQRES).
