Diamond World MD Dilip remanded in murder case

A Dhaka court has placed managing director of Diamond World Dilip Kumar Agarwala on a six-day remand in connection with a murder case.

The case was filed over the murder of 16-year-old Hridoy Ahmed during the anti-discrimination student movement in the capital's Badda area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain passed the order on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, police produced him before the court seeking a 10-day remand plea.

On September 3, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Dilip from his office in the city's Gulshan area.
