Seven die, another 860 hospitalised with dengue fever

A total of seven people have died of dengue, the highest in a single day, said  Directorate General of Health Services.

Some 860 more patients have been hospitalised with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across the country in the past 24 hours, it added.

It added that as many as 387 were hospitalised in Dhaka among the new dengue patients until Saturday morning.

In addition, 98 were hospitalised in the Dhaka Division, 32 in the Mymensingh Division, 164 in the Chattogram Division, 53 in the Khulna Division, 2 in the Rajshahi Division, 17 in Rangpur division, 6 in the Sylhet Division, and 101 in the Barishal Division.
