Govt dissolves textbook revision committee

The government has dissolved the textbook revision committee, according to an office order issued by the Ministry of Education on Saturday.

The office order in this regard was signed by Secondary and Higher Education Division Senior Assistant Secretary Yanur Rahman.

“The coordination committee formed by the education ministry on September 15 to ensure the revision and amendment of all textbooks printed and prepared by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board has been dissolved,” reads the notice.

The government, on September 15, formed a 10-member committee for the revision and amendment of textbooks, with education ministry additional secretary Dr KM Kabirul Islam as its chief.
