UN fact-finding team asks police for information

The United Nations fact-finding team has asked Bangladesh Police Headquarters for information regarding the alleged human rights violations during the anti-discrimination movement. 

When asked, AIG (Media and Public Relations) Enamul Haque Sagor said the Police will assist the UN fact-finding team by providing information, and in any other way possible. 

According to several sources, the United Nations is trying to find out what kind of human rights violations happened in the 46 days from July 1 to August 15. They want to know the details of those responsible for the right violations. In this connection, the fact-finding team has written to the police headquarters seeking several details.
