Committee formed to fix age limit for entering govt jobs

The government has formed a committee to settle on a rational age limit for entering government jobs.

Former caretaker government adviser Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury was made convener and Public administration ministry’s senior secretary Dr Md Mokhles Ur Rahman was made the member secretary of the committee.

A ministry notification signed by its additional secretary Md Obaidul Rahman said on Monday. 

Following the movement to raise the age limit for entering government jobs, the committee was formed to review the overall issues and make recommendations, said the release.

The committee was asked to submit report within seven working days. 

The body can co-opt required number of members to the body if it wants.
