Bank accounts of Joy, Putul, Bobby frozen

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has directed banks to freeze all accounts of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's son Sajib Wazed Joy, her daughter Saima Wazed Hossain Putul and her nephew Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby.

The anti-money laundering agency also asked the freeze of all accounts of Awami League's research cell Center for Research and Information (CRI), CRI-Young Bangla Project and former state minister for power Nasrul Hamid.

The BFIU, in this regard, sent letters to banks on Monday.

All of the said individuals are affiliated with the CRI. 

Joy is the chairman of CRI, his sister Putul is the vice-chairman and Bobby is a member of its trust body.
