Five Youth Innovative Ideas on Energy Transition awarded fellowship

Five innovative ideas from young participants of the Energy Innovation Challenge Bootcamp were each awarded a fellowship of Tk50,000. 

The event was arranged aiming at leveraging the innovative thinking of youth to achieve sustainable energy transition.

The three-day Bootcamp was jointly organised by Participatory Research and Action Network (PRAAN) and ActionAid Bangladesh.

A total of 20 young innovators from various parts of the country participated at the event at the Alok Training Center in Mirpur, Dhaka. 

Dr. Khondaker Golam Moazzem, Research Director of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD); Farah Anjum, Strategic Communications Associate of Global Strategic Communications Council Bangladesh; Shooha Tabil, Program Officer of the TARA Climate Foundation; and Ziaul Haque Mukta, General Secretary of the Campaign for Sustainable Livelihoods (CSRL) were present on the occasion, among others.

The jury panel included Dipal Chandra Barua, a pioneer in the expansion of solar energy in Bangladesh; Abdullah-Al Mamun, associate director of SREDA; and Md Shihab Uddin, Lecturer at Daffodil International University.
