Siraj Uddin Mia made Principal Secretary to Chief Adviser

The government has appointed Md Siraj Uddin Mia as Principal Secretary to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus for a two-year term on contractual basis.

In this regard, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Wednesday.

“Siraj Uddin Miah has been appointed for a two-year term, effective from his date of joining,” reads the notification. 

As part of this appointment, he is required to break any other professional, business, or work relationships with government, semi-government, or private institutions and organisations.

Other terms of this appointment would be determined by the approved contract.

The order was issued in the public interest, reads the notice.
