Ex-food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder held in city

Detective Branch (DB) of police on Thursday arrested former food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder from the city's Bashundhara area. 

"We apprehended Sadhan Chandra Majumder from Bashundhara area tonight," deputy commissioner (DC) of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) told BSS.

Sadhan, former Awami League lawmaker from Naogaon-1 constituency, was wanted in a number of criminal cases that include the July-August mass uprising, he said.
