Ex-security division secretary arrested

A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested former senior secretary of the security division of the home ministry Aminul Islam Khan from Banani area in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations Division) of the DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman told media that a DB team arrested Aminul Islam Khan on Sunday afternoon.

Several cases were filed against Aminul, the DB official added.

On March 31, 2023, the former security division senior secretary went on retirement.
