Sheikh Hasina did not leave India: BBC Bangla

Sheikh Hasina has not left India and remains in Delhi, BBC Bangla said on Tuesday.

BBC Bangla claims, citing sources in India, that the ousted Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who fled to Delhi a couple of months ago, is still staying in India. Top Indian government officials have dismissed such reports as 'totally baseless' that he has left Delhi for a Middle Eastern country.

BBC Bengal's Shubhajyoti Ghosh reports from Delhi that he has spoken to multiple sources in India's foreign and home ministries over the past forty-eight hours - and each confirmed that 'Sheikh Hasina is here this week as she was last week.'

India has never officially disclosed where exactly Hasina is residing in Delhi - but that 'location' has not changed at all in the past few days, sources added.
