3 police officials sent on forced retirement

The government has sent three Additional Inspector General of Police (Addl IGPs) Md Shahabuddin Khan, Barrister Md Harun-or-Rashid and Dr Kha Mohid Uddin on forced retirement.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued three separate gazette notifications on Tuesday regarding the retirement of these three officials.

The officials are Md Shahabuddin Khan, Addl-IGP of Highway Police, Barrister Md Harun-or-Rashid, Additional IGP of Police Headquarters and Dr Kha Mohid Uddin, Additional IGP (Supernumerary), currently attached to the Tourist Police, the gazette notifications said.

It said they have been sent on retirement from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

The notifications, signed by Senior Secretary of the Ministry's Public Security Division Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen state that their retirement is in the public interest under the provisions of Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018.

They will be entitled to get all fringes of retirement benefits in accordance with the regulations, the gazette notifications added.
