Ex-agriculture minister Abdur Razzaque arrested

Police have arrested former agriculture minister and Awami League (AL) presidium member Muhammad Abdur Razzaque from Eskaton area in the capital. 

Mohammad Talabur Rahman, deputy commissioner (DC) of media and public relations of Detective Branch (DB), said Abdur Razzaque was arrested from the capital’s Eskaton area at around 7.30pm.

A former parliament member from Tangail-1 constituency Abdur Razzaque was accused in a number of cases.

The cases were filed after ouster of the Awami League on August 5, 2024.
