Ex-minister Faruk Khan remanded for two days

A Dhaka court has placed former civil aviation and tourism minister Lt Colonel (Retd) Faruk Khan on two-day remand in a murder case.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanaullah passed the order on Tuesday as police produced Khan, also a presidium member of the Awami League, before the court seeking 10-day remand plea.

A case was lodged over the murder of BNP activist Md Mokbul in the capital.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an overnight drive arrested Faruk Khan from his house in Dhaka cantonment area.
