53 protesting students detained from Secretariat

Law enforcers have detained 53 students who entered the Secretariat to demand a re-evaluation of HSC and equivalent examination results on Wednesday. 

The detained students were loaded onto two police prison vans at around 3:45pm. 

More than 100 students entered the Secretariat at around 3pm to voice their demands. Members of various law enforcement agencies arrived and tried to placate the students. However, the students continued their agitation. Police and army members later charged batons and chased the students out of the Secretariat premises.
