Ex-minister Muktadir Chowdhury arrested in city

Former housing and public works minister and lawmaker from Brahmanbaria-3 constituency R A M Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury was arrested from the capital's Mirpur area.

Confirming his arrest, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Detective Branch (DB) of Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman told BSS they arrested Muktadir early on Friday.

He was accused in several murder cases, one with Adabar Police Station, the DC said. The former lawmaker will be produced before the court on Friday.
