Menon, Inu, Palak sent to jail after remand

A Dhaka court has sent former ministers Rashed Khan Menon and Hasanul Haq Inu and ex-state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak to jail on completion of remand in a murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Zunaid passed the order on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, they were produced before the court upon completion of their remand.

On October 8 last, the trio was taken of seven days police remand.

According to the case details, Emon Gazi sustained critical bullet wounds in the student-people demonstration at Chittagong Road under Jatrabari Police Station on August 5 and died on the spot.

On August 28 last, Emon's brother Anwar Hossain filed the case with Jatrabari Police Station.
