Three-way collision kills bank official in Paltan

A three-way collision between a bus, a truck and an autorickshaw has killed a bank official and injured one more. 

Early on Sunday, a Unique Paribahan bus and an onion-laden truck collided head-on, crushing an autorickshaw in the process. The deceased was identified as Zakir Hossain. The autorickshaw driver was also injured in the collision. 

Both of the victims were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the duty doctor declared the bank official dead at around 6am. 

Confirming the matter, Paltan Police Station Sub Inspector Arif Ullah said the deceased man was an official at a private bank. His body has been kept at the hospital's morgue. The bus and truck involved in the accident were seized, but the drivers have fled.
