Advisory issued for Bangladeshis travelling to 5 countries

The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has advised Bangladeshi citizens against travel to Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, in a release issued recently. 

A number of scam rackets in these countries are trying to lure people from other countries using lucrative job circulars through fake websites, emails, FaceBook, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc, the ministry's release said. 

These scam organisations take citizens of many countries, including Bangladesh, as hostages and use them to continue their scam business. 

Several Bangladeshis managed to escape scam centres in Myanmar and Cambodia and returned home through the Bangladesh embassy in Bangkok.
