Road crashes leave 475 dead in Bangladesh in October

At least 475 people were killed and 815 others injured in 452 road accidents across Bangladesh in the month of October this year, according to a latest report.

Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity (BJKS) published the report on Saturday.

According to the report, 76 people were killed and 24 others injured in 63 railway accidents during the period. 

In case of waterway accidents, a total of 24 people were killed, 36 injured and nine remained missing around the country.

In October, 138 motorcycle accidents resulted in 163 deaths and 239 injuries. It is 30.53% of total accidents, 34.31% of total deaths, and 29.32% of total injuries.
