Mollah College authority to take legal steps

Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College authority is preparing to take legal steps in the incident of attack and vandalism on the institution on Monday. 

The college's principal Obaidullah Noyon disclosed the matter to the media at a press briefing in front of the college at around noon on Tuesday. 

He claimed that the incident caused around Tk 60-70 crore of damage. 

Teachers of the college claimed that the attack was instigated by the principal of Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College. 

Armed with sticks, students of the Kabi Nazrul College and Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College in Old Dhaka vandalised and looted the Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College on Monday (25 November).

The incident injured at least 25 students. Kabi Nazrul College and Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College were declared closed temporarily after the incident.
