BNP places 62-point constitutional reform proposal

The BNP has placed a 62-point proposal to the Constitutional Reform Commission. Among them are bringing balance between the prime minister and the president's power, caretaker government, referendum, parliament upper house, and the posts of deputy president and deputy prime minister. 

However, the BNP suggested that these reforms be carried out by an elected government. 

The proposal was handed over to the commission's head Professor Ali Riaz by BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed on Tuesday.
