All accused, including Khaleda Zia, acquitted in Zia charitable graft case

The High Court has acquitted all accused of the Zia charitable graft case, including BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. 

A High Court bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain passed the order on Wednesday. 

A court awarded seven years in jail to Khaleda Zia and three others in the graft case in October of 2018. The court also fined them and ordered the concerned authority to take 42 kathas of land bought for the trust into government custody by confiscating it.

Later, Khaleda Zia filed an appeal with the High Court against the judgment.
