Fire at Badda Suvastu Shopping Complex under control

A massive fire which broke out at the Suvastu Shopping Complex in the capital's Badda has been brought under control after about one and a half hours. 

The Fire Service and Civil Defence learned about the fire at around 1:10am on Sunday. Three firefighting units reached the spot and tried to bring the blaze under control. 

Confirming the matter, FSCD control room duty officer Md Shahjahan said the fire spread from two clothing stores on the third floor of the shopping complex. It was brought under control at around 2:35am. 

Initially, the origin of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known. No casualties were reported in this incident.
