Cold snap to show up soon

Many areas of the country experienced drizzles on Saturday as an effect of the Cyclone Fengal which made landfall in India's Chennai. The weather will improve and clouds will dissipate on Sunday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said. 

A slight chill has fallen in the capital due to the rain. Meanwhile, the northern districts are experiencing a distinct chill. 

Temperatures may not fall too far right away. However, a mild cold snap may be seen in the second week of December, the BMD said. 

"Night temperatures will start to fall soon. A mild cold snap may show up in places in the country's north-east and north-west regions," meteorologist AKM Nazmul Huq said. 

According to the regular weather bulletin issued by the BMD, day temperature may fall very slightly and night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celcius in the country over the next 24 hours.
