BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf acquitted of graft charges

A court has acquitted BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain of charges in a graft case filed with the capital's Ramna Model Police station in 2008.

Judge Md Manjurul Hossain of Dhaka Special Judge Court-8 pronounced the judgment on Sunday in the presence of Dr Mosharraf as the charges framed against him were not proved.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case on January 10, 2008, for amassing illegal wealth and concealing information about the properties. The anti-graft body filed a charge-sheet on September 17, 2008.
