Govt urges action to fill 4,73,001 vacant posts

The Ministry of Public Administration has asked all ministries, divisions, subordinate offices, agencies, and field offices to take urgent action to address vacant positions.

A letter signed by Senior Secretary Md Mokhles ur Rahman was issued on Monday to this end.

The letter highlighted the urgency of filling approximately 4,73,001 authorised vacancies in the government.

The Ministry of Public Administration has asked all ministries, divisions, subordinate offices, agencies, and field offices to submit progress reports to it within 15 working days.

The ministries have been asked to place report on steps taken and ongoing initiatives to address the issue.
