Chinmoy Krishna's bail plea hearing postponed a month

A bail hearing for Sammilita Sanatani Jote leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in a sedition case has been pushed back a month, a source at the court confirmed. The new date for the hearing was fixed on 2 January. 

Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Saiful Islam's court was scheduled to hear the bail plea on Tuesday. However, the date was pushed back as no lawyer was present on behalf of Chinmoy Krishna. Advocate Nazim Uddin Chowdhury, president of the Chattogram District Bar Association, confirmed the matter.

Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful Islam's court sent former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari to jail after denying his bail plea on 26 November regarding a case related to the alleged desecration of the national flag at New Market in Chattogram city. 

Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested in Dhaka the day before and brought to court on sedition charges.
