44.9% people unhappy with police clearance

Around 44.9 per cent of people are unhappy with online police clearance, whereas more than 22 per cent of people are not aware of the function in the first place. Meanwhile, 32.4 per cent of people are unhappy with the 999 emergency service, while 56.6 per cent are satisfied with it. 

These statistics were found in the survey titled "The police we want", according to a press release issued by the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday (3 December).

As per the survey, 42 per cent of people are unhappy with the victim support centre. More than 45 per cent are unhappy with beat policing. Online general diary (GD) services seem unsatisfactory to 44.9 per cent of people. 

The survey was carried out among 24,442 people. Around 95 per cent of the participants were men, and most of them were from Dhaka, followed by Chattogram and Comilla.
