Meeting between Yunus and party leaders held

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus held a meeting with top leaders of major political parties, including the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting began at 4:00pm at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.

The ongoing issues of the country are tabled in the meeting.

BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain led party’s five-member delegation.

The main aim of the meeting is forging national unity.  

The chief adviser had a meeting with the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday night.

About the importance of national unity, the press secretary earlier said the unity is urgent now as the Indian media is deliberately spreading misinformation targeting Bangladesh.
