News of drone deployment on Indian border is fake: CA Press Wing Facts

The Chief Adviser's Press Wing Facts has termed the report as "false and fabricated news" run by Indian weekly India Today claiming that Bangladesh has deployed drones along the Bangladesh-India border.

A post on the verified Facebook page of Press Wing Facts on Saturday said that “this is false and fabricated news”.

"Bangladesh has not deployed any drones, apart from routine activities, in any parts of the country," reads the post.

“This news is part of an orchestrated campaign against Bangladesh," said the post quoting a spokesperson from the Ministry of Defence.

The press wing also shared a screenshot of the India Today article titled "What's Bayraktar TB2 Drone Deployed by Bangladesh and Is India Prepared?"

The report of India Today claimed that Bangladesh had stationed Bayraktar TB2 drones near the Indian border.
