Govt issues warning against illegal overseas workers in Bangladesh

The home ministry has issued a warning notice requesting all foreigners working illegally here to obtain the necessary documents to stay or work legally in Bangladesh.

"Otherwise, the legal action will be taken against them," said the warning notice issued Sunday. 

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser (Equivalent to State Minister), Home Ministry Md. Khuda Baksh Chowdhury and Senior Secretary of Public Security Division and Security Services Division D. Mohammad Abdul Momen signed the notice.

The notice was said to be issued as complaints are being received from various sources that many foreign nationals are staying in Bangladesh illegally and are working in various institutions illegally as well.
