Soybean oil prices raised by Tk 8 per litre

The government has increased the prices of both bottled and loose soybean oil Tk8 per litre.

With the hiked price, the retail cost of bottled soybean oil is now Tk175 per litre.

The price of loose soybean oil has been set at Tk157 per litre and the price of 5-litre bottled soybean oil has been fixed at Tk852 per bottle.

 The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Ministry of Commerce on Monday.

The new prices will take effect immediately.

After a meeting with edible oil traders, Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin said the new price of oil has been set considering the hike of prices in the international market.
