Planning Commission member Suleman Khan sent on forced retirement

Planning Commission member Suleman Khan has been sent on forced retirement.

To this end, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Tuesday.

According to the notification, Suleman has completed 25 years of service and the government considers it necessary to retire him from government service in public interest. 

Therefore, he has been retired from government service under the powers granted under Section 45 of the "Government Service Act, 2018".

The notification added that Suleman will get retirement benefits as per the rules.

The post of a Planning Commission member is equivalent of the rank of secretary.
