4 police officers suspended

The government has temporarily suspended four police officers in connection with a case under the ICT-BD.

The suspended police officers are former deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Jasim Uddin Mollah, former additional deputy commissioner (Gulshan Division) Md Rafiqul Islam, former assistant commissioner (Traffic-Jatrabari zone) Tanjil Ahmed and assistant police super (APBn, Uttara) Md Rafiqul Islam.

In this regard, the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued four separate notifications signed by Senior Secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen recently.

The notifications said that they were suspended temporary from government service in the public interest as per the provision of 39 (2) under the section 57 of the Public Service Act, 2018.
