Ferry movement resumes on Paturia-Daulatdia route

Ferry movement between the Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat routes was suspended from Wednesday night due to dense fog over the river. However, ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia has resumed after 7:30 hours, at around 10am on Thursday as the fog lifted. 

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha Deputy General Manager (DGM) Nasir Mahmud Chowdhury said ferry movement was halted on the Aricha-Kazirhat route at 11pm. Two ferries remain stranded in the middle of the Jamuna River due to the fog. 

Meanwhile, ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia route was remained suspended since 3am, with two ferries stranded in the middle of Padma River.
