Met office forecasts mild cold wave sweeping over parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said a mild cold wave is sweeping over the north and north-western part of the country, and it may continue.

"Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh, Rajshahi and Chuadanga, and it may continue," said the forecast for Friday.

The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, according to the forecast.

Night and day temperatures may fall slightly over the country, it added.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places all over the country from midnight to noon.

The country's highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 29.3 degrees Celsius at Teknaf, and Friday's minimum temperature of 08.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 05:13 pm on Friday and rises at 06:33 am on Saturday in the capital.
